Monaco Yacht Show by Private Jet: Inflight Catering at Nice (LFMN / NCE) for Superyacht Week

Each September, Port Hercule in Monaco becomes the centre of the superyacht world. For four days, the Monaco Yacht Show brings together shipyards, designers, brokers and owners, and a large share of them arrive by private jet through Nice (LFMN / NCE), a seven-minute helicopter flight from Monaco (LNMC / MCM), the Monaco Heliport.

For flight departments and charter operators, show week means busy aprons, tight schedules and passengers moving quickly between quayside meetings and the aircraft. Private jet catering for the Monaco Yacht Show is one of the details that makes the whole trip feel effortless. This guide covers the airports, the timing and the way to plan inflight catering for superyacht week.

Why the Monaco Yacht Show attracts private jets

The Monaco Yacht Show is one of the most prestigious superyacht events in the world. More than a hundred superyachts are displayed along the quays of Port Hercule, many of them presented for the first time, alongside shipyards, naval architects, designers and specialist suppliers. Owners, buyers and their advisers come to visit yachts, attend private viewings and meet shipyards in person.

This audience travels by private aviation. Owners fly in from across Europe, the Gulf and the Americas, brokers rotate between appointments, and shipyards host guests on short, tightly planned visits. For operators, it is one of the most demanding weeks of the year on the Riviera, and one where the quality of the cabin experience is noticed.

Which airport to choose for the Monaco Yacht Show

Nice (LFMN / NCE)

Nice Côte d'Azur is the natural choice for most show-week flights. It welcomes every size of business jet, from light jets to ultra-long-range aircraft, and connects to Monaco by helicopter in around seven minutes or by car along the coast. Our own Nice kitchen delivers planeside here; see our Nice Côte d'Azur private jet catering page for station details.

Cannes (LFMD / CEQ)

Cannes-Mandelieu suits light and midsize jets and is popular with guests staying in Cannes or along the western Riviera. Orders are prepared in our Nice kitchen; find more on our Cannes-Mandelieu catering page.

Saint-Tropez (LFTZ / LTT) and Toulon (LFTH / TLN)

Guests combining the show with a stay in Saint-Tropez often fly into Saint-Tropez (LFTZ / LTT) or Toulon (LFTH / TLN). Both are covered through our kitchens, coordinated by the same team.

Why inflight catering matters during superyacht week

Show-week passengers often land straight into a programme of yacht viewings, sea trials and shipyard meetings, then depart the same evening. The aircraft becomes the one calm place in a packed day, and the cabin service sets the tone for the whole visit.

  • Arrival legs: light, fresh menus so principals step off the aircraft ready for the quay.

  • Departure legs: a relaxed dinner service after a long day on the water.

  • Crew meals: reliable, well-labelled crew catering for teams flying several sectors during the week.

  • Guest changes: brokers and guests joining at short notice, handled with an updated request to order@globaldiners.com.

What to serve on a Monaco Yacht Show flight

Show-week menus work best when they follow the rhythm of the day. A few combinations crews often choose from the Global Diners menu:

  • Morning arrivals into Nice (LFMN / NCE): Riviera breakfast with fresh viennoiseries, seasonal fruit, Greek yoghurt and fresh juices, served quickly before the helicopter transfer.

  • Midday positioning flights: Mediterranean salads, grilled fish, light pasta and fresh desserts that suit a short sector.

  • Evening departures: a relaxed dinner with a starter, a main course and a French pastry, or a selection of canapés for guests who dined in Monaco.

  • Long-range returns: a full service plan with dinner after take-off and breakfast before arrival, prepared and labelled in the order of service.

Each order is quoted from the Global Diners menu card, and every item arrives labelled with its contents and allergens.

Crew catering during show week

Crews based on the Riviera for several days often fly short positioning legs between Nice (LFMN / NCE), Cannes (LFMD / CEQ) and other European airports while guests attend the show. Simple, balanced crew meals ordered alongside the passenger catering keep the whole team looked after through a busy week, with one quote and one delivery.

Monaco Yacht Show at Nice (LFMN / NCE): September

The superyacht show fills Port Hercule with large yachts and brings owners, brokers and shipyards to Monaco for four days. Many guests fly into Nice and combine the show with late-season holidays on the coast. Business-focused visitors appreciate light, healthy menus, while owners' groups often request yacht-style platters and premium wines. Confirm return flights and catering together, as departures concentrate on the final day.

Festival and race dates on the Riviera shift from one year to the next, so please confirm the exact timings with our team when you order.

FBOs at Nice (LFMN / NCE): the business aviation terminals here include Signature Aviation, AviaVIP and DC Aviation G-OPS. Our own kitchen delivers planeside, with timings agreed with the FBO or handler you choose.

Also nearby: Saint-Tropez (LFTZ / LTT)

La Môle sits in the hills of the Massif des Maures, a short drive from Saint-Tropez, Cogolin and Cavalaire. The beaches of Pampelonne in Ramatuelle stretch for several kilometres, with beach clubs, water sports and boat moorings. The hilltop villages of Gassin, Ramatuelle and Grimaud offer winding lanes and views over the gulf, and Port Grimaud is a lagoon village of canals and pastel houses. Walkers follow the coastal path round the Cap Camarat, and the Domaine du Rayol garden displays plants from the world's Mediterranean-climate regions. Boat trips around the gulf and to the Porquerolles islands fill summer afternoons.

Saint-Tropez was a fishing village before painters such as Paul Signac and Henri Matisse discovered its light; the Musée de l'Annonciade holds post-impressionist and fauvist works. The 17th-century Citadel above the port houses a maritime history museum. The village became a symbol of 1950s and 1960s glamour after the film And God Created Woman, and the Musée de la Gendarmerie et du Cinéma recalls its film history.

Dining in the gulf means long lunches at Pampelonne beach clubs, seafood on the harbourfront and Provençal cooking in hilltop villages. Sénéquier, the red-terrace café on the port since 1887, is a classic spot for watching the yachts. The Place des Lices market, held on Tuesday and Saturday mornings, sells local produce, cheese and Provençal goods. Fashion and jewellery boutiques line the lanes behind the port, and Cogolin is known for its pipes and rugs.

FBOs at Saint-Tropez (LFTZ / LTT): the business aviation terminals here are run by Sky Valet St Tropez. Our team coordinates every delivery with the FBO or handler you choose.

Also on the route: Cannes (LFMD / CEQ)

Le Suquet, the hill of old Cannes, holds the Musée de la Castre in a medieval castle. On Sainte-Marguerite, the Fort Royal is linked with the legend of the Man in the Iron Mask. In Mandelieu-la-Napoule, the Château de la Napoule was restored by an American artist couple in the early 20th century. Grasse is the historic centre of French perfumery, and Picasso spent his last years in Mougins.

Frequently asked questions

When should I order catering for Monaco Yacht Show week?

As early as possible once your slots are confirmed, and ideally 24 hours before each delivery for final details.

Can I order catering at La Môle (LFTZ / LTT) during the summer peak?

Yes. La Môle-Saint-Tropez (LFTZ / LTT) is covered throughout July and August, when the airport handles its highest volumes. Orders are prepared by our kitchens and delivered to the handler, or directly to the aircraft depending on airport rules. Because demand is concentrated at weekends, early ordering is recommended.

Yes, a tarte tropézienne can be added to flights departing La Môle-Saint-Tropez (LFTZ / LTT), either as a whole cake or individual portions.
