Private Jet Catering for MEBAA Week: Dubai World Central (OMDW / DWC)

Private jet catering for MEBAA week at Dubai World Central (OMDW / DWC) is a moment when the whole business aviation community gathers in one place. When the MEBAA Show, the Middle East and North Africa business aviation exhibition, comes to Dubai World Central, operators, manufacturers, owners and flight departments fly in from across the Gulf, Europe, Africa and Asia. The static display fills with the latest aircraft, chalets host meetings from morning to evening, and departures cluster at the end of each day.

Global Diners prepares VVIP inflight catering in our own kitchens in Paris, Nice and Madrid and in our kitchens across more than 2,500 airports, including Dubai World Central, Dubai (OMDB / DXB) and Sharjah (OMSJ / SHJ). This guide explains how to plan catering for a show week at Dubai World Central: arrival and departure menus, hospitality on board aircraft on display, halal standards and the wider Gulf itinerary.

Why show week is different

A business aviation show changes the rhythm of an airport. Many aircraft arrive within a few days, some for the static display, others carrying delegations and guests. Crews spend long days on the ramp, passengers move between chalets and meetings, and departures follow the end of the show day rather than a fixed schedule. Catering for this environment rewards planning: confirmed orders, flexible timings agreed with the FBO and menus that suit long days in a warm climate.

  • Arrival flights: light, refreshing menus for guests landing ready for a day of meetings.

  • Aircraft on display: elegant platters for hosting visitors on board, served in small portions throughout the day.

  • Crew support: balanced meals and plenty of hydration for long days on the ramp.

  • Departure flights: a calm, complete meal for the journey home after a busy show.

Our specialised team prepares each order from the Global Diners menu, with allergen labelling on every item, sauces packed separately and reheating guidance for hot dishes. Halal menus are standard in the region, and kosher and alcohol-free menus are available on request.

Hosting guests on board aircraft on display

For manufacturers, brokers and operators showing an aircraft, the cabin becomes a meeting room. Guests step on board for a tour or a conversation, and a well-presented tray sets the tone. Our team suggests small, elegant items that can be served without a full galley service and remain fresh through the day.

At a business aviation show, every cabin tells a story. A beautifully presented tray is part of that story.

Arabic and international flavours

Dubai's table brings together Emirati tradition, the Levant, the Indian subcontinent and the world's great cuisines. For show week, our team blends these influences with the international classics of the Global Diners menu card.

  • Arabic mezze: hummus, moutabal, tabbouleh, labneh and warm flatbread, perfect for sharing.

  • Grills: chicken shish taouk, lamb kofta and grilled hammour, with saffron rice.

  • Emirati touches: machboos, luqaimat with date syrup and fresh dates with Arabic coffee.

  • International classics: caviar, smoked salmon, cheese and pastries, plus sushi and fresh salads.

  • Refreshments: fresh juices, laban, mint lemonade and coconut water for warm days on the ramp.

Our Dubai private jet catering guide covers the city's airports in detail, and our article on catering organisation after CJI Dubai 2026 looks at how operators in the region are structuring catering.

Ordering for show week

  1. Email order@globaldiners.com as soon as your show schedule is known, with the aircraft registration, airport and dates.

  2. List each service: arrival, hosting on display, crew meals and departure, with passenger numbers.

  3. Add dietary needs, allergies and VIP preferences in the same message.

  4. Receive your dedicated quote and a written confirmation from our specialised team.

  5. Our team agrees each delivery time with your FBO at Dubai World Central (OMDW / DWC).

Show weeks are among the liveliest days of the year at Dubai World Central, so we recommend sending your order a few days before arrival and confirming passenger numbers 24 hours before each service. Changes to departure times can be shared with our team by email, and we coordinate the new timing with the FBO.

Before and after the show: the Gulf itinerary

After the show: a calm working flight home from Dubai (OMDB / DXB).

Many visitors combine the show with meetings across the Gulf. Abu Dhabi (OMAA / AUH) is a short hop away, Doha (OTHH / DOH) under an hour's flight, and Sharjah serves the northern emirates. Our team prepares catering at each airport with the same Global Diners menu, so a week that begins at Dubai World Central and ends in Doha remains simple to organise. Our guide to inflight catering in Abu Dhabi Al Bateen covers the capital's business aviation airport.

The Global Diners client portal is coming very soon. It is designed to bring the Global Diners menu, order requests, confirmations and documents into one space for crew, operations and finance. Until it opens, every request goes through order@globaldiners.com.

Dubai World Central (OMDW / DWC) Event Calendar for Private Jet Catering

Al Maktoum International sits in Dubai South, and its busiest catering weeks follow the city's winter season, which runs roughly from October to April. Trade fairs, horse racing, golf and the festive holidays bring wave after wave of business jets, while the Dubai Airshow turns the airfield itself into the venue every second November. Send catering orders two or three days ahead rather than the standard 24 hours, share final passenger numbers as soon as the manifest settles, and agree a delivery window with your handler. Chilled mezze, sealed individual trays and hot dishes in thermal carriers travel well through Gulf heat and long ground times.

Christmas and New Year holidays at Dubai World Central (OMDW / DWC): Mid-December to early January

Dubai's peak leisure fortnight, when families and groups fly in for sunshine, beach resorts and the New Year fireworks over Downtown Dubai.

Event and holiday dates in the UAE move each year, and the Eid holidays depend on the moon sighting, so please check timings with our team when you place your order.

Local flavours for flights from Dubai World Central (OMDW / DWC)

Emirati cuisine blends Bedouin, Persian, Indian and East African influences, built around rice, spices, dates and slow-cooked meat. Machboos, spiced rice with chicken, lamb or fish, is the national dish and reheats well in a galley oven. Harees, a smooth wheat and meat porridge, and thareed, a meat and vegetable stew over bread, are traditional comfort dishes. For cold service, Arabic mezze travels well: hummus, moutabal, muhammara, tabbouleh, fattoush, stuffed vine leaves and labneh with za'atar, served with khubz flatbread. Grilled shish tawook and lamb kofta suit hot main courses. Dates are part of every welcome, with Khalas, Sukkari and Medjool varieties paired with Arabic coffee scented with cardamom and saffron. Luqaimat, small fried dumplings with date syrup, and Emirati balaleet, sweet vermicelli with egg, offer a local dessert or breakfast option. All meat is halal as standard in the UAE. Our kitchens prepare each order, and restaurant pick-up across Dubai is available on request.

Also on the Global Diners network: Sharjah (OMSJ / SHJ)

Sharjah lies immediately next to Dubai and is known as the cultural capital of the UAE, with museums of Islamic civilisation, art foundations and a busy publishing scene. The emirate's east coast at Khor Fakkan and the Mleiha desert heritage area attract leisure stays. The airport is also a major cargo hub, and activity is steady throughout the year with a cooler-season peak.

Al Majaz Waterfront and Khalid Lagoon offer evening walks, fountain shows and lakeside cafés. Al Noor Island combines sculptures, gardens and a butterfly house. The Heart of Sharjah heritage district is being restored around old souks and courtyard houses. Inland, the Mleiha Archaeological Centre runs desert tours, fossil hunting and stargazing. On the Gulf of Oman coast, Sharjah's towns of Khor Fakkan and Kalba offer mountain scenery, beaches, diving and mangrove reserves. Dubai's attractions are a short drive away, and the Sharjah Aquarium and Al Qasba canal are easy family outings.
