Dubai private jet catering sits at the crossroads of global business aviation. Within a few hours' flight of Europe, Africa, South Asia and the rest of the Gulf, Dubai welcomes heads of state, family offices, executives and leisure travellers every day of the year. Two airports serve private aircraft: Dubai (OMDB / DXB), in the heart of the city, and Dubai (OMDW / DWC), in Dubai South beside Expo City and the Jebel Ali area.

Global Diners supports flights to and from Dubai across a network of more than 2,500 airports. Our own production kitchens in Paris, Nice and Madrid prepare menus for European departures, and our kitchens serve the Gulf. This guide covers both Dubai airports, the Dubai Airshow and the menu ideas that suit Gulf routes.

Dubai's two airports for business aviation

Dubai (OMDB / DXB) is one of the world's busiest international airports and offers dedicated facilities for general and business aviation. It is the natural choice for passengers heading to Downtown, DIFC, Jumeirah and the Palm, thanks to its central location.

Dubai (OMDW / DWC), Al Maktoum International, sits in Dubai South, a fast-growing district that includes the Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH), a cluster dedicated to business aviation, maintenance and training. DWC is spacious, well suited to long-range business jets and convenient for the Expo City, Jebel Ali and Abu Dhabi corridor.

The Dubai Airshow: every two years in November

The Dubai Airshow is held every two years in November at Dubai World Central, beside Dubai (OMDW / DWC). It is one of the largest aerospace events in the world, bringing together manufacturers, airlines, business aviation companies, defence delegations and government officials for several days of exhibitions, static displays, flying displays and conferences.

Recent editions have placed a strong focus on sustainability and innovation, with discussions on sustainable aviation fuel, electric ground equipment, hybrid-electric aircraft and advanced air mobility. For business aviation, the show is a meeting point for operators, owners and suppliers from Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Africa.

Airshow week turns Dubai World Central into one of the busiest business aviation hubs on the planet, and every arriving delegation appreciates a well-planned menu on board.

Catering during Airshow week

During the show, aircraft arrive from many regions within a few days, and kitchens across the city are in high demand. Planning catering early is the most comfortable approach. We recommend sending your requests as soon as your schedule is known, including the arrival and departure flights, so our team can prepare each leg with our kitchen.

Menu ideas for Gulf routes

Passengers flying into Dubai often travel between cultures and time zones in a single day. The Global Diners menu card offers a broad selection that combines easily across courses, and each request receives a dedicated quote. Popular choices for Gulf routes include:

  • Arabic mezze: hummus, moutabal, tabbouleh, fattoush and warm flatbreads.

  • Grilled mains: lamb, chicken or fish with saffron rice and roasted vegetables.

  • Fresh fruit platters: dates, mango, berries and seasonal fruit, beautifully presented.

  • International classics: Mediterranean salads, French pastries and plated European mains.

  • Light breakfasts: labneh, eggs, viennoiseries and fresh juices for early arrivals.

Halal requirements, allergens and dietary preferences are built into the order from the start. Every item is labelled with its allergens, and our kitchens work to HACCP principles with an unbroken cold chain.

Cabin crew appreciate dishes that travel well. Mezze, grilled mains and fruit platters are portioned and packed so they can be finished and plated in the galley with ease, and our team adapts formats to the galley equipment of each aircraft.

Seasons, timing and Ramadan

Dubai's peak season for business aviation runs from autumn to spring, when the climate is mild and the city hosts many of its major events. Summer flights remain frequent, and chilled dishes, refreshing salads and plenty of hydration are appreciated on arrival in the heat.

During Ramadan, many passengers prefer to plan meals around iftar and suhoor. Share the expected meal times with your request and our team will suggest a menu, such as dates, soups, light mezze and a main course, that fits the rhythm of the fast.

Dubai as a link between Europe and Asia

Dubai is a natural stop on many long-range routes, whether as a destination, a technical stop or a crew rest point. Flights from Europe to the Indian Ocean often stop in the Gulf; our guide to Maldives private jet catering explains how a fresh uplift in Dubai can refresh the cabin halfway. Regional connections such as Riyadh (OERK / RUH), Doha (OTHH / DOH) and Abu Dhabi (OMAA / AUH) are equally well served by our kitchens.

  1. Share the full routing, including technical stops.

  2. Indicate which legs need a fresh uplift and which are covered by the departure catering.

  3. List passenger and crew numbers for each leg.

  4. Add allergens, dietary styles and preferred meal times.

  5. Send everything to order@globaldiners.com in one email.

Flying from Europe to Dubai

Many flights to Dubai depart from Europe's leading business aviation airports. From Paris (LFPB / LBG) and Nice (LFMN / NCE), our own kitchens deliver planeside, and from Madrid (LEMD / MAD) our Madrid kitchen delivers to the FBO. The same menu card applies across the network, so passengers enjoy a consistent experience from Europe to the Gulf and back. For an overview of the main European hubs, see our guide to European business aviation airports.

VIP Inflight Catering for Events Near Dubai (OMDB / DXB)

Dubai International is one of the world's busiest airports for international passengers, and business jets share its airspace and ramps with heavy airline traffic. Private demand rises from October, when the weather cools, and stays strong through the festive season, the spring racing and golf calendar and the major trade fairs at the World Trade Centre. Summer reverses the flow as residents leave for cooler climates. In peak weeks, slots, stands and our kitchens selected specifically for private aviation are in demand at the same time. Order two to three days ahead, send confirmed passenger numbers early, and agree the delivery window with your handler. Halal catering is standard, and Arabic mezze, grilled meats, dates and fresh juices travel well.

Dubai World Cup at Dubai (OMDB / DXB): Late March or early April (varies)

The Dubai World Cup meeting closes the Carnival racing season at Meydan, a short drive from the airport. Owners, trainers and racing guests fly in from Europe, Japan and the United States, and departures concentrate on the day after the meeting. Book catering for both directions at once, and choose breakfast items such as Arabic pastries, labneh, eggs and fresh fruit for morning flights. Warm dishes in thermal carriers suit late-evening departures straight from the racecourse.

Lunar holidays and many Dubai events change dates every year, so please check the current timings with our team when you order catering.

Things to do around Dubai (OMDB / DXB)

Dubai International sits close to Deira and the Creek, making the old heart of the city the nearest place to explore. Dhow cruises and wooden abra boats cross the Creek, and further south the Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Fountain and the Dubai Frame offer the city's skyline views. Beach days at Jumeirah or on Palm Jumeirah, desert safaris with dune driving and falconry displays, and skiing indoors at Mall of the Emirates add variety. Golf, yacht charters and water parks fill the cooler months from October to April, and evening walks along the Creek or the Al Seef promenade make a relaxed close to the day.

Culture and heritage near Dubai (OMDB / DXB)

The restored Al Fahidi neighbourhood and Al Shindagha, the historic district at the mouth of the Creek, show how Dubai's merchants lived before the oil era, with wind towers and coral-stone houses. Al Shindagha Museum tells the city's story. The Jumeirah Mosque offers guided visits for non-Muslims, and Alserkal Avenue in Al Quoz hosts contemporary art galleries. The Museum of the Future stands on Sheikh Zayed Road.
