Paris Air Show and French Summer Events: Private Jet Catering from Our Le Bourget (LFPB / LBG) Kitchen

Private jet catering for the Paris Air Show begins on home ground for Global Diners. The show takes place at Paris (LFPB / LBG) in June of odd-numbered years, on the very airport where our own Paris kitchen prepares catering and delivers planeside. And the Air Show is only the start: from Roland-Garros in late spring to the Tour de France finale and the August escape to the Riviera, the French summer is one long season of events for business aviation.

This guide follows that season from our Le Bourget kitchen and our own kitchen in Nice, which serves Nice (LFMN / NCE) with the same planeside delivery. It explains how we plan Air Show week, which summer events shape the calendar, and how the Global Diners menu brings the best of France on board. For a broader view of the two cities, our article on private jet catering in Paris and on the French Riviera is a helpful companion.

Air Show week from our Le Bourget kitchen

The Paris Air Show is one of the world's great aerospace gatherings. Manufacturers, airlines, governments, investors and suppliers meet in the chalets and halls beside the runway, and static displays and flying demonstrations draw visitors from every continent. For the airport, it is a week of special arrangements, with an exceptional number of aircraft, delegations and hospitality events in a small space.

Being based at Le Bourget gives our team a natural advantage. Our own kitchen prepares every order close to the aircraft, and planeside delivery is planned with your FBO and the airport's show-week arrangements in mind. We recommend sharing your schedule well before the show and confirming each order 24 hours ahead, or a little earlier during this week.

  • Delegation flights: multi-course menus with protocol in mind, halal, kosher and alcohol-free options, and clear labels for every guest.

  • Executive shuttles: light breakfasts and lunch trays for teams flying in and out on the same day.

  • Chalet-to-cabin continuity: canapés, patisserie and cheese for guests who continue the conversation on board.

  • Crew meals: balanced dishes for crews working long days during the show.

When the Air Show comes to Le Bourget, our kitchen is already on the airfield. That proximity is the calmest service we can offer.

Air Show week also changes the shape of the day for crews. Many aircraft arrive several days before the opening, stay parked through the trade days and leave after the public weekend, so a single trip can include crew meals on the ground, hospitality for guests visiting the aircraft and a full passenger service on departure. Our team plans these moments together with you: a simple daily crew menu, canapés and drinks for visitors on board, and a complete menu for the flight home. Every item is labelled for allergens, hot dishes come with reheating guidance, and the Global Diners menu card gives you caviar, smoked salmon, cheese and pastries for the moments that call for something special.

For flight departments bringing customers or partners to the show, the onboard meal is often part of the hospitality programme. A well-presented French lunch after a morning in the halls, or a light dinner after the evening receptions, extends the welcome of the chalet into the cabin.

The French summer calendar for business aviation

The Air Show takes place every other year, but the French summer brings travellers to Paris and the south every year. These are the moments that shape our calendar most:

Roland-Garros and the Paris season

Late May and early June mark the start of the Paris season. Roland-Garros brings tennis fans and corporate guests to the Bois de Boulogne, and the men's fashion collections follow in June. Many passengers combine a day at the tennis with dinner in the city and an early departure the next morning, so breakfast menus are especially popular: viennoiserie, fresh fruit, yoghurts, eggs and fresh juices.

July brings Bastille Day celebrations and the final stage of the Tour de France on the Champs-Élysées. After the first days of August, Parisians head south, and the traffic of business aviation follows them to the Riviera.

From Paris to the Riviera: one menu, two kitchens

Our own kitchens in Paris and Nice are at the heart of the French summer. A typical itinerary might start with a lunch tray at Le Bourget, continue with a light dinner on the way south and end with a family breakfast before a flight back from Nice. With one menu and one specialised team, every leg feels part of the same journey, and both kitchens deliver planeside.

The French summer table changes with the weeks. In June, our kitchens favour asparagus, early peas, strawberries and cherries; in July, tomatoes, courgettes, melons and apricots arrive; and August brings figs, peaches and the herbs of Provence. Fish from the Atlantic and the Mediterranean features throughout the season, and a chilled vegetable velouté or a salade niçoise makes a light, refreshing start on a warm afternoon. For long flights home to the Gulf, Asia or the Americas, we prepare several services, from a light lunch soon after take-off to a breakfast before landing.

Cheese deserves a special mention. A board of Comté, Brie de Meaux, Roquefort and a fresh goat's cheese from the Loire, served with bread, grapes and walnuts, is one of the simplest ways to bring France on board, and it fits every moment of the day. Our guide to wine pairing for private jet catering suggests French wines to match, and patisserie such as fruit tarts, éclairs and macarons completes the picture.

Dietary menus and protocol flights

Summer in France brings guests from the Gulf, Asia and the Americas. Halal, kosher and alcohol-free menus are available, together with vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free dishes, and every item carries an allergen label. For delegation and protocol flights, our article on government and diplomatic flight catering explains how we prepare menus that respect every guest's customs. Restaurant pick-ups from a favourite Paris address can also be coordinated on request.

Christmas and New Year holidays at Paris (LFPB / LBG): Mid-December to early January

The festive fortnight combines inbound holiday travel to Paris with a strong flow of departures to Courchevel, Gstaad, the Caribbean and the Middle East. Weekends around Christmas and New Year are the busiest of the season at Le Bourget. Book festive menus several days ahead: foie gras, smoked salmon, bûche de Noël and children's meals are popular. Planeside delivery from our own kitchen can be timed to the departure, and crew meals help on long holiday rotations.

Fair, show and racing dates in Paris move a little each year, so check the current timings with our team when you send your order.
