Private Jet Catering Jackson Hole (KJAC / JAC): Ski Season and Yellowstone Summers

Private jet catering in Jackson Hole follows two great seasons. In winter, skiers fly in for the steep slopes of Teton Village and the quiet luxury of the valley; in summer, families and friends arrive for Grand Teton and Yellowstone national parks, river trips, music and art. Jackson Hole (KJAC / JAC) is the only commercial airport in the United States located inside a national park, and its setting under the Teton Range makes every arrival memorable. The catering on board should feel just as special, and just as connected to the place.

Global Diners prepares inflight catering in our own kitchens in Paris, Nice and Madrid and in our kitchens across more than 2,500 airports, including Jackson Hole and nearby Bozeman (KBZN / BZN), where delivery is coordinated with your FBO or handler. This guide follows the valley through the year, from powder days to huckleberry summers, and shows how to plan menus that suit mountain flying.

Jackson Hole under the Tetons: the setting of every departure from Jackson Hole (KJAC / JAC).

An airport in a national park

Jackson Hole Airport lies within Grand Teton National Park, a few miles north of the town of Jackson. Its location brings a calm, considerate approach to operations: noise rules, set operating hours and a strong focus on the landscape. For catering, it means planning delivery times carefully with the FBO and keeping the order compact, organised and ready to load in one smooth movement.

The airport sits at more than 6,000 feet above sea level, and many guests have spent a day skiing, hiking or fishing before boarding. Hydration, warmth and comfort matter more than elaborate courses. Our specialised team keeps menus generous but simple, with plenty of still and sparkling water, warm drinks and dishes that are easy to serve after a full day outdoors.

Winter: ski season from December to April

The ski season at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort usually runs from early December into April, with the busiest weeks around Christmas, New Year and Presidents' Day. Guests arrive for a long weekend or a full week, and departures often follow a last morning on the mountain. Winter flying in the Rockies also calls for flexibility: schedules can shift with the weather, so we recommend sharing any updates with our team as soon as they are known.

  • Arrival flights: light, warming snacks and soups, so guests can head straight to the slopes or the fireside.

  • Après-ski departures: hearty dishes such as bison chilli, braised short ribs, roasted root vegetables and warm apple desserts.

  • Breakfast departures: eggs, potatoes and sausages for early flights, with fruit, yoghurt and fresh pastries.

  • Holiday weeks: order several days ahead, confirm numbers early and add festive desserts in the same request.

Summer: Yellowstone, rivers and festivals

From June to September, the valley changes completely. Grand Teton and Yellowstone national parks draw visitors from around the world, the Snake River offers rafting and fly-fishing, and the Grand Teton Music Festival fills summer evenings in Teton Village. In late August, central bankers and economists gather in the park for the Jackson Hole Economic Policy Symposium, and in September the Fall Arts Festival brings collectors to the galleries around Town Square.

Summer menus are lighter: grilled trout salads, chicken with seasonal vegetables, cold cuts and cheese, fresh berries and, from late summer, the wild huckleberries that appear in pies, jams and chocolates across Wyoming and Montana. Many itineraries combine Jackson Hole with Bozeman (KBZN / BZN), the gateway to Big Sky and the northern entrance of Yellowstone, and our team keeps both legs consistent when they arrive in one request.

Mountain flavours on board

Wyoming's ranching traditions shape the local table. Bison and elk appear as steaks, sliders and sausages, Wyoming beef is a point of pride, and Rocky Mountain trout comes from the rivers that run through the valley. Huckleberries are the sweet signature of late summer. On board, elk or bison sliders, sliced beef with horseradish cream, a trout salad and a huckleberry tart give a menu with a clear sense of place.

After a day in the mountains, the most welcome meal is warm, generous and simple: a bowl of chilli, good bread and a slice of huckleberry pie.

For guests who prefer international dishes, the Global Diners menu brings caviar, smoked salmon, fine cheeses and French pastries, with sauces packed separately. Halal, kosher and alcohol-free menus are available, and wine and champagne can be added subject to local rules. Our article on winter destinations by private jet shares more ideas for ski flights.

Connecting the Rockies with the coasts and Europe

Jackson Hole links naturally with other Rocky Mountain destinations, from Bozeman to Sun Valley Hailey (KSUN / SUN) in Idaho, and with the great business centres of both coasts, including Teterboro (KTEB / TEB) for New York. Some owners continue to Europe for the Alpine season, where our own kitchens deliver planeside at Paris Le Bourget (LFPB / LBG) and Nice (LFMN / NCE). Our overview of demanding airports for private jets and the guide to crew catering on layovers add practical ideas for mountain trips.

Inflight Catering for Jackson Hole Festivals, Races and Shows (KJAC / JAC)

Jackson Hole Airport sits inside Grand Teton National Park, the only commercial airport in the United States located within a national park, and its ramp and operating hours reflect that setting. Demand peaks twice: in the ski season, with holidays at Christmas, New Year and Presidents' Day, and in summer, when park visits, music, art and a major economic symposium fill the valley. Both seasons reward early planning with handlers and kitchens. Order earlier than the standard 24 hours, confirm passenger numbers early, agree delivery times with your FBO or handler, and choose travel-ready formats that hold well during winter de-icing or busy summer turnarounds.
