Private Jet Catering Las Vegas: Harry Reid (KLAS / LAS) and Henderson (KHND / HSH) Event Guide

Private jet catering in Las Vegas follows the rhythm of the city's great weeks: the technology show in January, the conventions of spring and autumn, championship fights, concert residencies and the Grand Prix on the Strip in November. Business jets arrive at Las Vegas (KLAS / LAS) and Henderson (KHND / HSH) for all of them, and the menu on board can match the occasion, from a working breakfast before a trade-show day to a celebration dinner after a title fight.

Global Diners prepares VVIP inflight catering in our own kitchens in Paris, Nice and Madrid and in our kitchens across more than 2,500 airports, including the three business aviation airports of the Las Vegas valley. Where our West Coast guide looks at one menu standard across Los Angeles, Las Vegas and San Francisco, this guide focuses on the Las Vegas event calendar and on how to plan catering for each kind of trip.

Three airports for one city

Harry Reid International is the main gateway, close to the Strip, with several business aviation terminals. Henderson Executive, south of the city, is a calm and popular choice for business jets, and North Las Vegas (KVGT / VGT) serves the northern valley. Each airport has its own FBOs, listed at the end of this guide, and our team coordinates every delivery with the FBO or handler you choose.

Trade-show trips: menus for working days

Executives flying in for a trade show often spend long days on their feet in the exhibition halls. The inbound flight is a chance to prepare: a balanced breakfast, a light lunch and plenty of water. On the way home, passengers usually appreciate a relaxed, comforting dinner and a little dessert.

  • Inbound breakfast: Greek yoghurt with berries, egg-white omelette, avocado toast and fresh juice.

  • Working lunch: grilled chicken or salmon salad, grain bowls, crudités and hummus.

  • Snack boxes: nuts, cheese, fruit and protein bars for team members heading straight to the stand.

  • Homebound dinner: a steak or fish main with vegetables, followed by a small dessert.

In Las Vegas the menu follows the event: light and energising on the way in, celebratory on the way home.

Fight nights, residencies and the Grand Prix

Sporting and entertainment weekends are about celebration. Departures after a title fight or a concert often leave late in the evening, so our team suggests plated dishes that are easy to serve in a relaxed cabin: beef tenderloin or wagyu sliders, lobster rolls, sushi platters and rich chocolate desserts. Caviar and smoked salmon are on the Global Diners menu card for the most special occasions, and champagne can be added subject to local rules.

The Las Vegas Grand Prix, held at night on a circuit that runs along the Strip, has become one of the most glamorous events of the autumn. Canapés before the race, a light supper for late departures and breakfast boxes for the following morning cover the weekend elegantly. For more ideas on celebration menus, see our caviar service guide.

Desert flavours and celebrated restaurants

Las Vegas is home to restaurants from many of the world's best-known chefs, and restaurant pick-ups can be coordinated on request when passengers would like a favourite dish on board. The wider Southwest adds its own flavours: chilli-rubbed steaks, grilled corn, guacamole, tortilla soup and citrus desserts bring a sunny touch to the menu. Fresh fruit platters, cold-pressed juices and sparkling water are always welcome in the dry desert air.

Our team pays particular attention to hydration and the cold chain in the warm desert climate: chilled items travel in insulated carriers, and every item carries an allergen label and a clear serving guide.

Connecting the Southwest and the West Coast

Las Vegas trips often link with Los Angeles, Scottsdale or San Francisco, and many passengers continue to Van Nuys (KVNY / VNY) for meetings in Los Angeles. Passenger preferences are shared once and follow every leg, so the menu stays consistent. Our Scottsdale and Phoenix guide covers the desert neighbour, and our guide to the leading US airports helps plan coast-to-coast itineraries.

Event-Season Private Jet Catering at Las Vegas (KLAS / LAS)

Las Vegas runs on a calendar of trade shows, fights, concerts and sporting weekends, so business aviation at Harry Reid International follows the convention schedule rather than the seasons. During the big weeks, order a little earlier than the usual 24 hours, confirm passenger numbers as early as you can, agree delivery timing with the handler and choose compact, travel-ready formats. In the warm summer months, chilled packing and plenty of water keep everyone refreshed.

CES at Las Vegas (KLAS / LAS): January

The consumer technology show opens the year with tens of thousands of exhibitors, executives and media, and business aviation across the Las Vegas area enjoys one of its liveliest weeks. Executives often fly in for one or two days of meetings, so efficient catering matters: healthy breakfast boxes, working lunches, sushi and salads that can be eaten between calls. Order a little earlier, confirm numbers once meeting schedules are set and agree delivery slots with the handler for the end of the show.

Convention and race dates move from year to year, so please confirm the current schedule with our team when you order.

Dining and shopping near Las Vegas (KLAS / LAS)

Las Vegas has one of the densest concentrations of chef-led restaurants in the country, with steakhouses, French brasseries, Japanese and Italian dining rooms inside the major resorts. Spring Mountain Road's Chinatown offers excellent Asian cuisine away from the Strip. Buffets and brunches remain a local institution. For shopping, the Forum Shops at Caesars, the Shops at Crystals and Fashion Show mall gather luxury and high-street brands, while outlet centres offer discounted labels.

Local flavours for flights from Las Vegas (KLAS / LAS)

Las Vegas has no single regional cuisine, but it has one of the most concentrated restaurant scenes in the world, with many internationally known chefs operating restaurants on and around the Strip. That makes restaurant pick-up a particularly strong option here. Steakhouses are a Las Vegas tradition, and prime cuts, carved and packed for reheating or served cold in sandwiches, are a popular choice for departures. Japanese cuisine is very strong, with sushi, sashimi and Wagyu dishes widely available, and the city's large Chinatown district along Spring Mountain Road offers excellent dim sum, noodles and Asian dishes. Mexican and Southwestern flavours are well represented, including tacos, enchiladas, fresh guacamole and salsas, as well as dishes with roasted green chile from neighbouring New Mexico. For a lighter service, fruit platters, salads and cold-pressed juices are refreshing in the dry desert climate. The city's pastry kitchens produce high-quality cakes, macarons and chocolates. Nevada's desert climate means passengers often appreciate extra water and hydrating drinks on board. Restaurant pick-up on the Las Vegas Strip and across the city is available on request.

Also on the Global Diners network: Henderson (KHND / HSH)

Henderson Executive Airport is a general aviation airport south of the Las Vegas Strip, built mainly for business and private jets. It gives easy access to the Strip's resorts, the Allegiant Stadium and T-Mobile Arena area, and the residential communities of Henderson and Summerlin. Private activity follows the Las Vegas calendar: large trade shows and conventions, boxing and mixed-martial-arts fights, residencies and concerts, NFL games and the Formula 1 race on the Strip. Weekend leisure activity is strong all year, and many passengers stay just one or two nights.

Lake Mead National Recreation Area, east of Henderson, has boating and lakeside trails, and the Hoover Dam is a short drive further on. Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, west of the city, has a scenic drive and hiking among sandstone cliffs, and Valley of Fire State Park, to the north-east, is known for red rock formations. Golf courses in Henderson and Summerlin are open all year, and helicopter tours over the Grand Canyon depart from the valley.
