Private Jet Concierge Services: What Crews and Passengers Can Request

Global Diners Team

Private jet concierge services around catering are where a good flight becomes a memorable one. A favourite dish from a restaurant in town, a birthday dessert at 41,000 feet, a family's preferred tea, a menu that respects every guest's diet: these small requests show passengers that someone has listened. For crews and flight departments, the question is simple: what can we ask for, and how do we ask for it so that everything arrives exactly right?

Global Diners is a VVIP inflight catering and concierge company. We prepare catering in our own kitchens in Paris, Nice and Madrid and in our kitchens across more than 2,500 airports, from Orange County SNA (KSNA / SNA) to Málaga (LEMG / AGP). This guide explains the catering-related requests our specialised team handles every day, and how to send them so they are confirmed clearly and calmly.

Orange County, served by Orange County SNA (KSNA / SNA), where private jet catering and concierge requests are prepared
Orange County (KSNA / SNA): a Southern California base where passengers often ask for a favourite local restaurant on board.

What a catering concierge request looks like

A concierge request is anything that goes beyond choosing dishes from the menu: sourcing, timing, presentation or a personal touch. Every request is welcome, and every request receives a dedicated quote, so the operator and the passenger know exactly what has been arranged before the flight. The Global Diners menu card has no prices because each mission is different, and concierge requests are part of that same personal approach.

Our article on restaurant pick-ups for private jets shows how a pick-up is organised step by step, and our guide to what crews expect from a caterer covers the labels and packaging that make each request easy to serve.

Restaurant pick-ups: a favourite table in the cabin

Many passengers have a restaurant they love in each city: a sushi counter in Newport Beach, a tapas bar in Málaga, a brasserie in Paris. Restaurant pick-ups can be coordinated on request. To make them seamless, share the restaurant's name, the exact dishes and quantities, and the departure time. Our specialised team confirms the arrangement, plans the collection as close to departure as possible and coordinates delivery with your FBO or handler.

  • Give the full order: dish names, portions and any modifications the passenger usually asks for.

  • Mention dietary needs: allergies and preferences apply to restaurant dishes too.

  • Think about reheating: some dishes travel better than others; our team can suggest how to pack them for the galley.

  • Combine with the menu: a restaurant main course pairs well with starters, cheese and desserts from the Global Diners menu.

  • Allow a little more time: restaurant opening hours shape what is possible, so early requests keep every option open.

Celebrations and personal touches

Flights often carry a special moment: a birthday, an anniversary, a homecoming, a deal signed or a family holiday beginning. A celebration cake, a dessert with a short message, a festive menu for Christmas, Diwali, Eid or Lunar New Year, or simply the passenger's favourite pastries from the menu card can turn the flight into part of the occasion. Tell us the occasion, the number of guests and any preferences, and our team will suggest what suits the cabin and the length of the flight.

The best concierge request is not the most elaborate one. It is the one that shows a passenger they were remembered.

Preferences that make a passenger feel at home

Regular passengers often have small preferences that matter a great deal: sparkling water with lemon, oat milk for coffee, a particular green tea, fruit cut a certain way, dressings always on the side. Keeping a short preference note for each principal and sending it with every order is one of the simplest and most effective habits a flight department can adopt. Our specialised team reads every note and confirms the details in writing, and our guide to VIP cabin crew catering coordination explains how crews share these notes between rotations.

For crews on long duty days, crew meals can be ordered with the passengers' catering, packed separately and ideally different from the passenger menu. Our article on crew catering on layovers suggests balanced options.

How our own kitchens add to the experience

In Paris and Nice, our own kitchens deliver planeside at Paris (LFPB / LBG) and Nice (LFMN / NCE), which makes final touches such as warm pastries or a fresh fruit platter especially easy to place on board. At Madrid (LEMD / MAD), our own kitchen delivers to the FBO. Everywhere else, delivery is coordinated with your FBO or handler, and the same specialised team confirms every concierge detail.

Private Aviation Peak Periods at Orange County SNA: Catering at Orange County SNA (KSNA / SNA)

John Wayne Airport serves Newport Beach, Irvine and the beach towns of Orange County, and its operating hours follow local noise rules, so departures are planned in the morning and early evening. That pattern matters most in summer, when the beach festivals in Laguna and Huntington Beach coincide with family holidays, and again in December. On those weeks, send catering requests a little earlier than the usual 24 hours, confirm passenger numbers before the day of departure and agree a delivery time with the handler that fits the permitted departure window. Fresh, coastal-style menus such as fish tacos, grain salads and cut fruit hold up well on the short hops to Las Vegas, San Francisco and the mountain resorts.

Festival of Arts and Pageant of the Masters at Orange County SNA (KSNA / SNA): July to August

Laguna Beach's long-running summer arts festival is best known for the Pageant of the Masters, an evening show in which performers recreate famous paintings on stage. Visitors combine it with beach days and gallery visits, often arriving at John Wayne for a long weekend. A sophisticated picnic suits these trips: cold poached salmon, heirloom tomato salads, local cheeses and pastries. On summer weekends, order a little earlier than the usual 24 hours and plan around the evening performance when setting the departure catering time.

Festival and parade schedules in Orange County are set fresh each year, so ask our team to confirm the current dates when you order.
