Private Jet Catering Monaco: Inflight Dining for Flights via Nice and Cannes

Global Diners Team

9 min read

Private jet catering for Monaco starts a few kilometres along the coast, at Nice (LFMN / NCE). The Principality has no airport of its own, so guests arrive by private jet in Nice or Cannes and continue by helicopter or car. That short transfer makes the inflight dining on the way in, and on the way home, an essential part of every Monaco journey.

Global Diners operates its own production kitchen in Nice, alongside our kitchens in Paris (Le Bourget) and Madrid and a network of more than 2,500 airports. For Monaco travellers, this means fine inflight cuisine prepared locally and delivered planeside at Nice, in time for every departure.

Why Monaco flights land in Nice

Nice Côte d'Azur is the natural gateway to Monaco. It is the Riviera's main business aviation airport, with a General Aviation Terminal and full border services, and it sits a short helicopter hop or a scenic coastal drive from Monte-Carlo. The helicopter transfer to the Monaco Heliport takes only a few minutes, while the drive along the Corniche usually takes 30 to 45 minutes depending on the season.

Smaller jets may also choose Cannes (LFMD / CEQ), which is popular for light and midsize aircraft and well placed for guests combining Monaco with Cannes or the Esterel coast. Our dedicated guide to Nice airport for private jet arrivals covers the terminal experience in detail.

Catering from our own kitchen in Nice

Because our kitchen is in Nice, Monaco flights benefit from short preparation-to-aircraft times and a controlled cold chain. Our teams work to HACCP principles, label every item with its allergens and deliver planeside, directly to the aircraft. Dishes are chosen from the Global Diners menu card, and each request receives a dedicated quote.

In Monaco, the arrival is part of the experience. The catering should feel like the first course of the stay.

We recommend ordering 24 hours before delivery. For return flights, many flight departments place the order while guests are still in Monaco, once the departure time is set. A single email to order@globaldiners.com is all it takes.

Matching the menu to the aircraft

Monaco attracts every category of business jet, and the catering plan follows the cabin:

  • Light jets on short European hops: elegant cold platters, sandwiches, fruit and pastries that need little galley space.

  • Midsize and super-midsize jets: a fuller service with starters, a main course and desserts.

  • Heavy and long-range jets arriving from the Gulf, the US or Asia: multi-course menus, breakfast services and crew meals for longer sectors.

  • VIP airliners and group flights: larger quantities organised by course and clearly labelled per guest.

Our galley catering guide to popular private jets explains how cabin layout shapes service.

Restaurant pick-ups from Monaco

Some guests like to take a taste of Monaco home with them. Global Diners can coordinate restaurant pick-ups, so a favourite dish from the Principality travels on board with the same care as our own catering. Beefbar Monaco is a well-loved example, and our article on Beefbar Monaco and private jet catering describes how these pick-ups work.

Flavours of the Riviera on board

Monaco sits at the meeting point of Provençal and Ligurian cooking, and many guests like their inflight menu to reflect the region they are flying to or from. Dishes from the Global Diners menu card that pair naturally with a Monaco trip include Mediterranean seafood, seasonal vegetables from the Niçois hinterland, fresh salads with olive oil and herbs, and light fruit desserts. On the return journey, a more complete service helps guests unwind after a busy stay.

Presentation matters as much as flavour. Our kitchen in Nice prepares dishes so they look as intended once plated at altitude, with garnishes and sauces packed separately and clear labels for the cabin crew. Fine china, glassware and table linen remain part of the aircraft's own cabin equipment, and our packaging is designed to sit comfortably alongside them in the galley.

Breakfast and early departures

Morning flights out of Nice are popular with guests who want to spend a full day in Paris, London or Geneva. A breakfast service with viennoiseries, fresh fruit, yoghurt, eggs and freshly squeezed juices from the menu card sets the tone for the day. Ordering 24 hours ahead allows our team to prepare everything fresh and deliver planeside in time for the crew's preparations.

Guests, crews and the yachting season

Many Monaco visitors spend part of their stay on board a yacht, and some flights carry yacht crews joining or leaving a vessel in the harbour. Catering for these flights can combine guest dishes with practical crew meals in the same request. During the summer and around the Monaco Yacht Show, ordering early helps our team plan the busiest days on the Riviera comfortably.

Guests heading on to Saint-Tropez or Corsica after Monaco can continue with the same standard. Catering for a short hop from Nice to Saint-Tropez (LFTZ / LTT) or a longer sector to the Mediterranean islands can be ordered in the same request, with each leg clearly identified on the dedicated quote.

Connecting Monaco with Paris, Geneva and Madrid

Many Monaco trips are part of a wider itinerary. A business week in Paris, a weekend in Monte-Carlo and a return via Geneva is a classic combination. With our own kitchen at Paris (LFPB / LBG), our kitchens at Geneva (LSGG / GVA) and our kitchen serving Madrid (LEMD / MAD), each leg can be catered from the same menu card. Read more in our guide to private jet catering in Paris and the French Riviera.

Your Monaco catering checklist

  1. Choose your gateway: Nice for most aircraft, Cannes for lighter jets.

  2. Send your order to order@globaldiners.com 24 hours before delivery.

  3. Share passenger count, dietary requirements and allergens.

  4. Mention any restaurant pick-up you would like on board.

  5. Confirm the return departure time once guests' plans are set.

Event-Season Private Jet Catering at Nice (LFMN / NCE)

Demand rises sharply around the Cannes Film Festival and the Monaco Grand Prix (May), the Monaco E-Prix (April or May), high summer (July and August) and the Monaco Yacht Show (September), so we recommend placing catering orders as early as possible during these periods.

Cannes Lions at Nice (LFMN / NCE): June

The International Festival of Creativity gathers advertising, media and technology leaders in Cannes each June. Traffic is heavily corporate, with many short stays and executives flying in for a day of meetings. Boxed working lunches, fresh salads and light Mediterranean dishes suit these schedules. Ordering 48 hours ahead and sharing a contact for last-minute passenger changes keeps the catering aligned with fast-moving agendas.

Festival and race dates on the Riviera shift from one year to the next, so please confirm the exact timings with our team when you order.

FBOs at Nice (LFMN / NCE): the business aviation terminals here include Signature Aviation, AviaVIP and DC Aviation G-OPS. Our own kitchen delivers planeside, with timings agreed with the FBO or handler you choose.

Also nearby: Saint-Tropez (LFTZ / LTT)

Dining in the gulf means long lunches at Pampelonne beach clubs, seafood on the harbourfront and Provençal cooking in hilltop villages. Sénéquier, the red-terrace café on the port since 1887, is a classic spot for watching the yachts. The Place des Lices market, held on Tuesday and Saturday mornings, sells local produce, cheese and Provençal goods. Fashion and jewellery boutiques line the lanes behind the port, and Cogolin is known for its pipes and rugs.

Demand peaks in high summer (July and August) and during Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez (September to October), so we recommend ordering catering as early as possible in these periods.

La Môle-Saint-Tropez is the closest airport to Saint-Tropez and the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, serving the beaches of Pampelonne, the villas of Ramatuelle and Gassin, and the yachts anchored in the bay. Its short runway and demanding approach limit it to suitably certified light jets and turboprops, which makes it a favourite for quick hops from Nice, Paris and Geneva. Traffic is highly seasonal, building from May and peaking in July and August, with a final burst during the September and October regattas.

FBOs at Saint-Tropez (LFTZ / LTT): the business aviation terminals here are run by Sky Valet St Tropez. Our team coordinates every delivery with the FBO or handler you choose.

Also on the route: Cannes (LFMD / CEQ)

From the airfield it is a short drive to the Croisette, its private beach clubs and the old port. Ferries cross to the Lérins Islands, where Sainte-Marguerite has pine walks and clear water and Saint-Honorat is home to a working monastery with its own vineyard. West of Mandelieu, the red rock of the Esterel massif is ideal for hiking and coastal drives. Mandelieu has two golf courses, including the historic Old Course, and hilltop villages such as Mougins and Grasse are within easy reach inland. In summer, sea kayaking and boat trips along the Esterel coves are popular half-day outings.

FBOs at every airport in this guide

Here are the business aviation terminals (FBOs) at each airport mentioned above. Our team coordinates every catering delivery with the FBO or handler you choose, and our own kitchens deliver planeside at Paris (LFPB / LBG) and Nice (LFMN / NCE).

  • Madrid (LEMD / MAD): General Aviation Service SL, AviaVIP, Sky Valet Spain and United Aviation Services S.L.
